  • What is the Best New Product Awards?

    The Best New Product Awards is an annual awards program focusing on everyday consumer packaged goods products (food, personal care and household). Winners are selected based on voting by real consumers who participate in a yearly independent survey; the survey is one of the largest consumer surveys about new product development and innovation in the United States. For the 2009 program, over 48,000 American consumers, from across the country, participated in the survey.

    Winners of the Best New Product Awards will be featured in Better Homes and Gardens May issue, on bhg.com and on Better TV, reaching millions of Americans across the U.S.

    Research Study

    The annual research study will provide in-depth Consumer Insights on shoppers’ needs, attitudes and media habits, including thousands of actual consumer verbatims for each entered product.

    Operating simultaneously in Canada, the Best New Product Awards can also provide a North American view of shopper attitudes towards new consumer packaged goods products.

    Program Management

    The Best New Product Awards program has been developed and executed by BrandSpark International, an independent North American consumer research firm. The PDMA (Product Development and Management Association) is a lead sponsor and will help guide the evolution of the program.
